1. Travel Documents

When traveling, you must have (including infants) a valid passport (and visa, if required) or an EU/EEA identity card. When traveling within the European Union and Schengen countries, there are no legal regulations regarding the validity of EU citizens' documents: they only need to be valid for the entire trip. To avoid problems, we recommend that Lithuanian citizens' passports or ID cards are valid for at least 3 months after the planned return date.

The list of Schengen countries and more information about Schengen rules can be found on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania website: www.urm.lt. Border crossing and passport control rules for non-Schengen country citizens (non-Lithuanians) are different. More information: www.urm.lt

When traveling to Turkey, Egypt, and other non-EU countries, a passport must usually be valid at least 6 months after the planned return, and in some cases 12 months. Please check this in advance and obtain valid travel documents. More info: www.migracija.lt

Note: children's documents are valid for shorter periods (2–5 years). Make sure to check your child’s passport expiration before traveling.

If a passport or ID is lost or damaged, inform the tour representative immediately. A temporary travel document will be issued, but this may take time, especially if there is no Lithuanian embassy/consulate nearby. The temporary document is valid only for returning to Lithuania, not further travel. All related costs must be covered by the traveler.

2. Visas

The list of countries Lithuanian citizens can enter without a visa is available at www.urm.lt. To check whether you need a visa for a specific country: https://keliauk.urm.lt/lt/keliaujantiems/pries-pradedant-kelione/vizos

Please note that visa fees are non-refundable, even if the application is denied. For up-to-date information on visa requirements, documents, costs, and processing, contact the embassy of the destination country, your travel agency, or visit www.urm.lt.

Visa rules for non-Lithuanian citizens may differ. If a visa cannot be obtained in Lithuania, you must apply at the nearest embassy of the destination country.

Kelionių Šerpas travel agency is not responsible if a traveler without the required visa cannot depart, or for decisions made by border or migration authorities and any resulting losses.

3. Insurance

We recommend purchasing travel medical insurance to cover necessary medical expenses in case of an accident. Please check the insurance terms and know where to go in case of an emergency. Insurance can be purchased at travel agencies or insurance companies.

4. Traveling During Pregnancy

Travel brings wonderful emotions, and during pregnancy it becomes even more special. We want to ensure your journey is smooth and safe, but keep in mind that a pregnant body reacts more sensitively to changes.

💝 Your safety is our priority:

  • Consult your doctor before booking
  • From 28 weeks: a medical certificate is required
  • Certificate must be issued no earlier than 5 days before the flight
  • It must state "Fit to travel by air"
  • Must include doctor’s name, surname, and signature
  • For international travel, the certificate must be in English
  • At check-in, you will complete a "Future Mother" form

⚠️ Restrictions:

  • Single pregnancy – travel allowed up to 35 weeks
  • Multiple pregnancy – up to 32 weeks

Note: rules differ by country. Some allow travel freely, some require medical clearance, and some prohibit flights after certain stages.

Your and your baby’s safety is our priority – let’s ensure a safe and pleasant trip! 🤰✈️

5. Children Traveling Abroad

Within Schengen countries, a minor can travel alone with a valid passport or ID card. For travel outside Schengen with one parent, no written consent from the other is needed.

If a child’s surname differs from the accompanying parent’s, border guards may request the birth certificate.

If a child is traveling alone or with another adult, a notarized parental consent is required. More info: www.urm.lt

👨‍✈️

6. Unaccompanied Minor Service

Children under 5 must always be accompanied by an adult. Parents may request airline escort service for children aged 5–12.

The child will be supervised during the flight and escorted to the meeting adult upon arrival. This must be booked in advance by filling in an "Unaccompanied Minor" form with details such as the child’s name, ID code, and contact info for both departure and arrival guardians.

🧒

7. Child Travel Conditions

Most airlines apply similar rules and discounts for children. You must provide the child’s exact date of birth when booking.

If the child turns 2 during the trip, they are considered a 2-year-old for that flight. Children under 2 do not get a seat but may carry 1 piece of checked baggage (up to 10kg), a baby bag, food, and a foldable stroller.

From age 2, a child has the same seat and baggage allowance as an adult.

💉

8. Vaccinations

Before traveling, especially to distant countries, check for infectious disease risks and preventive vaccinations. Information for travelers: https://www.ulac.lt/keliautojams

🕐

9. Flight Times

Always confirm your flight time before departure. A day before, you can check with Kelionių Šerpas travel agency or at www.vno.lt. Information about return flights will be provided by our representative or can be found at the designated location in the hotel or on the information board.

Times listed in contracts and travel documents are indicative and may change due to weather, safety issues, strikes, or other circumstances.

✈️

10. Airport & Check-in

Check-in is done at the airport. Arrive at least 2 hours before the flight to complete registration, baggage drop, and border checks. Boarding gates close 30–45 minutes before departure.

Kelionių Šerpas travel agency is not responsible if a passenger is late for the flight. In such cases, no compensation is provided.

The airline may deny boarding if the passenger is unfit to travel (including intoxication). Please follow aviation safety rules – violations may lead to fines, liability for damages, or being denied boarding.

🧳

11. Baggage

Each passenger aged 2+ may carry 23kg checked baggage and 8kg hand luggage (unless otherwise specified). Extra charges apply for overweight or special baggage.

Dangerous items (explosives, gases, acids, flammable materials, etc.) are strictly prohibited.

Lost or delayed baggage must be reported immediately in writing. Claims must be submitted within 7 days (damage) or 21 days (delay). Compensation is limited (approx. €1320).

Hand luggage: up to 8kg (55x40x20cm). Additional items like laptops, handbags, outerwear, umbrellas, etc. must fit inside.

Infants: allowed 10kg checked baggage + baby food and stroller.

Pets: small dogs/cats may travel in cabin up to 10kg with container. Larger pets travel in the cargo hold (max 23kg).
